TechTonic Black Opening Water Ritual and Procession with Isra Rene, Sojourner Zenobia, Ebere Agwuncha and Zahra Baker

Bring your memory pots to this ritual to open our TechTonic Black Summer! (Note: this event was postponed from June 8 due to rain.)

(Memory pots for the ritual created June 7th at the Pop-Up Spot - or bring your own!)

Join Chicago performers Isra Rene, Sojourner Zenobia and Zahra Baker and visual artist Ebere Agwuncha. We will begin at the pond at Anna and Fredrick Douglass Park Field House and do a procession to Love Blooms Her Plaza at Central Park Ave. and Douglas Blvd. There will be mini water activations along the walk

This ritual is about using water to let go of what is no longer serving the ultimate thriving of us and our communities. We will share stories, create songs and connect to nature. This moment is about stepping into collective love and imagination for Lawndale this summer.

Feel free to begin with us at Douglass Park and drive or bike to the Pop-Up Spot while we are walking for the closing. REGISTER HERE
