Let’s Move, Lawndale continues every Saturday at 9:00 a.m. While usually we meet up at the Douglass Park track on Albany Ave. south of Ogden, we will be co-sponsoring a special walk on Saturday, April 5 in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy in North Lawndale. The walk will start at Starling, 3243 W. 16th Street and go to the MLK Fair Housing Exhibition at 16th and Hamlin. Following the walk, we will have a conversation about the impact of Dr. King’s work in North Lawndale, and of his assassination on April 4, 1968.
